About LibreBSD
LibreBSD begins with the NetBSD source tree. Initial work focuses on project branding, version identification, and producing an amd64 release image.
The project is at an early development stage. Building an image, booting it, and verifying an installation are separate milestones; their current state is recorded on the development page.

NetBSD supplies the foundation of this project. Upstream source copyright notices and license terms continue to apply.
